Brownea

Our Brownea tree is 35 years old. It was damaged by the storms Andrew and Katrina, but it is still probably the largest of its kind in a private garden.

The cold winter of 09-10 hurt the tree and the Brownea didn't flower last spring.

I had this breadfruit for 3 years

On Sept. 13 09 it looked perfect.

On Jan. 13 10 it was damaged and died March 10.

But I made a air-layer June 13 09

In the fall the air-layer went to a park. It was planted in the spring of 2010. I don't know it if it alive.

These are young ferns on the trunk of our big oak tree. The resurrection fern will sometimes grow in the orchid pots that hang in the trees. The fern will even grow on the tile of the roof.
